Integrated Motor Assist IMA Honda's Hybrid system that pairs a highly efficient gas engine with a high-output electric motor. At low speeds fuel injection can cease and the car can solely be propelled by the electric motor. At times of acceleration the high torque electric motor automatically kicks in to assist. The electric motor turns itself into a generator at coasting and braking to replenish the battery system.
Average Fuel Consumption Indicator Display on your dash that tracks your cars fuel economy. Giving you a read out of instant and average fuel consumption. Also displays miles to empty countdown. Observe your driving habits and maximize your fuel.
Maintenance Minder System Honda takes the guess work out of maintenance intervals. The car displays a read out on the oil life in a percentage that decreases as the car is driven. After an oil change the display reads oil life 100%. At any time you can toggle the odometer display to bring up the cars % of life left. Once the oil life gets down to 15% a service light will light up. This system adjusts itself on actual driving habits. Higher RPMs and higher engine temperatures will cause the % to drop faster. Cold engine temperatures and short trips will also cause the % to drop faster. Ideal driving conditions such as highway cruising will extend time between service intervals. The display will also let you know what service is due at each time. From basic oil changes and filers changes to tune up intervals.

Variable Cylinder Management (VCM®) technology. This system can activate and deactivate the engine’s cylinders as needed to meet the demands of both acceleration and fuel savings. When maximum torque is required, all six cylinders are firing. During steady cruising speeds , VCM shuts down one bank of cylinders. In this mode, the audio system’s Active Noise Cancellation™ (ANC) function generates out-of-phase sound waves to cancel out any undesirable noise that may be due to the harmonics of 3-cylinder operation. As cruising speed increases the engine moves to a 4-cylinder mode for extra cruising power. To help keep engine vibration from reaching the cabin in every mode, active engine mounts automatically adjust their firmness to help absorb energy. The transition between the three operating modes is nearly seamless and goes unnoticed by passengers.
Auxilary/MP3 Player Input Jack to play most any music or movie source. Anything that has a headphone output on it. Such as a portable DVD player, cell phone, MP3, ipod even a cassette tape player. All you need is a stereo 3.5mm mini jack to mini jack cable. You can get one at Radio Shack or most electronic stores. The input on your Honda is 3.5mm your media device might be a different size. (3.5 is the most common size.) I use mine to go hands free with my Blackberry cell phone. No need for an expensive Bluetooth setup.
USB Audio Interface Read flash drives loaded with MP3 or WMA music files. You can also plug in your compatible iPod to this port, which not only charges the device but allows it to be controlled using the interface dial on the head unit or steering wheel-mounted audio controls.

Hill Start Assist An all-new feature for 2009, Hill Start Assist helps prevent the Pilot from rolling forward or backward when stopped on steep grade. Activated by sensors when the driver’s foot moves from the brake pedal to the accelerator, Hill Start Assist will maintain brake-line pressure for a brief moment when the brake pedal is released, giving the driver time to push the accelerator and resume motion.
